Love the sustainability and simplicity of a shampoo bar but not sure what to use as a conditioner? A diluted vinegar hair rinse is just the thing to remove residue, reduce oiliness, tame dry scalp and dandruff, pH balance the scalp, and add mad shine to your locks. In short: it's full-blown post-shampoo magic.
To make your own, combine 1 part raw apple cider vinegar with 4 parts water in a plastic squeeze bottle. (An empty dish soap or shampoo bottle works great.) Store your diluted vinegar mix in the shower for up to 2 weeks.
To use, shampoo as usual, rinse hair thoroughly, and apply a generous squirt hair rinse to hair and scalp. Leave on hair and allow to air dry. The vinegar scent disappears completely when hair is dry. Or (if you prefer) allow rinse to stay on hair for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse out.
