I was very pleased with this cover on my 7.5 lb newborn. They fit well beneath the cord stump and contained everything. He wore them until our blueberry coveralls started fitting well around 10-11 lbs.
The Rumparooz newborn cover on it's smallest setting is about the same rise as the Bummis Super Brite nb cover, but a bit more bulky because of the extra fabric snapped down and wider around the back. But they fit longer and were less expensive, so I was fine with a little extra bulk.
