I have 3 of these in hook and loop and find they have been the best-fitting newborn cover for my skinny-legged son. He's 11.5lb now but although we're on the largest rise I don't feel like we're quite done with them yet. Only thing i would change is the hook and loop is a bit stiff.

I love RAR
Great newborn cover. They will last a lot longer because of the rise settings. The price is great for this kind of quality diaper cover.

Favorite newborn cover for a 7.5 pound newborn
I bought a Thirsties size 1, a Bummis original and Super brite in newborn, an Imagine and a Rumparooz. The Rumparooz works the best to fit the cord by far. I always want to use the Rumparooz. I use Disana and generic muslin flats, the prefold were too bulky and I can fold the muslin with a double layer in the back for girls. (I also bought a litewrap, but it is WAY too big).

great cover
I bought about 6 different types of newborn covers to try and these are in my top two. They fit well under the cord and we have had no leaks, the pul is soft and they do not leave red marks or gape at the legs. I will be buying the onesize when my son outgrows the newborn.

great newborn diaper cover
We have been using these diapers on our 6 pound newborn for a couple of weeks now and they work great. I was very surprised that they actually fit him from birth. We brought him home in the kangaroo print and it fit perfect and did not even look bulky or big on him. They fit under the umbilical cord well. The only issue I would complain about is I wish they were a little more flexible in the legs.
