Natursutten Pacifiers are made of 100% natural rubber! The natural rubber is from the Hevea brasiliensi tree and is softer than silicone. No chemical softeners are used and they are bisphenol-A (BPA), phthalates and PVC free. Natursutten pacifiers are easy to keep clean because they are molded in one piece so there are no joints or cracks for dirt and bacteria to accumulate.

Natursutten Pacifier's larger shield is designed to touch the baby's nose, which more closely simulates breastfeeding. The larger shield prevents babies from squeezing this flexible material enough to get it into their mouths. Also, it will not leave marks on your baby's face!
When you get your new Natursutten Pacifier, sterilize it in boiling water for 5 minutes, and then allow it to cool. If the pacifier turns milky white on the edges, don't worry - as it cools the color will return. When you first remove the pacifier from the box, you may notice a slight rubber smell and oily coating. This is natural due to a film of oil from the rubber tree that preserves the pacifier while packaged. This will disappear with sterilizing. Once it is sterilized you can clean the Natursutten Pacifier with warm water and mild liquid soap, but never wash it in the dishwasher. Because of their natural quality, Natursutten Pacifiers should be replaced every 4-5 weeks.

Should you choose Rounded or Orthodontic?
Natursutten Pacifiers help satisfy your baby's need for self-soothing, but prevent the negative effects of thumb sucking. The Rounded shape generally works best for breastfed babies because the tongue is positioned under the nipple as it is when breastfeeding. This helps to prevent nipple confusion. The Orthodontic shape has the tip of the nipple slanted to encourage tongue movement against it instead of under it. The pressure of the tongue is directed towards the tip.
