The Medela Supplemental Nursing System (SNS) is a breastfeeding assistance kit that can be used long-term for premature, impaired, or adopted babies.  It was originally designed to help adoptive mothers breastfeed through induced lactation as a result of the baby sucking at mother's breast for a period of time.

The Medela Supplemental Nursing System works by hanging the bottle around mom's neck, taping the two tubes to her breasts with the ends reaching her nipples.  The small, soft tubes are unnoticed by the baby and will breastfeed normally.  This stimulation maintains lactation and that important intimacy between mom and baby.  Flow-rate is adjustable with this system.

The Medela Supplemental Nursing System includes the SNS container, valve holder, cap and cover, attachment ring, 3 sizes of tubing, tape, neck strap, and instructions.  The tubes are color-coded for different feed rates.  The sterile packaging allows immediate use out of the package.  DEHP & BPA Free
