My DD is 17 mo, 23 lbs and has small legs so these fit a little funny. The waist is nice and tight (small size) but the legs don't even touch her legs at all. We don't have leaks however because the pads are absorbant enough for her one pee. All in all I like them.

I tried these out on my 21 month-old daughter. She is 27lbs and the small size was too tight. Of course, she was toward the higher end of the weight size chart, so I would size up if you're ordering. I liked that they look like underwear and that they have the feelwet pads. We transitioned from Best Bottom diapers to these. The only negative I see with them is that when pulling them up and down, the pad tends to move around a lot. I would have to adjust it once I got them on her and it was annoying when she was wet or dirty, because I'd have to put my hands on it to pull it out from between her legs, or it would dump the solid contents out in the struggle.

My daughter is a slender 21 lbs and often fits size 12 -18 mos, and the 2T was really small.

great condition & value
I bought a set of training pants seconds, and the only imperfection was that part of the waist elastic was caught under the stitching. Comfort, function, and appearance were not affected in the least. What a deal! And I just love these training pants!! I use them with the medium best bottom diaper inserts and they fit great plus are extremely absorbent. And they look and feel very much like real undies.

These are by far my favorite out of all the cloth trainers I have found. I've wanted to try them for so long and I wish I had tried them sooner! They look and feel more like real underwear and they fit my skinny 2 year old so much better than the other bulkier trainers we have. I've only used them with the regular BB inserts so far, not the trainer inserts. The medium inserts fit great in the covers. I mainly need these for daycare, so I'll probably stick with the regular inserts for now.
